204053 Trent Lott International Airport - Taxilane Extension #17997

THE JACKSON COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY will receive proposals for the “Taxilane Extension”, project located at the Trent Lott International Airport.  Proposals will be received at the Office of Airport Director, 8301 Sarracenia Rd., Moss Point, Mississippi until 2:00 p.m., local time, on May 6, 2025, at which time and place all proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Proposals received after the stated time will not be accepted.

The work is generally described as follows:

The project will consist of the southern Taxilane Extension by approximately 90’. Work items include installation of new PCC pavement, installation of new storm drainage, and site grading.

An Informational Pre-Bid Conference Call will be held at 10:00 a.m. on April 22, 2025 at the Conference Room at the Trent Lott International Airport. Bidders are urged to participate in the meeting / teleconference in order to submit an informed bid. Contact the office of the Engineer for phone number and meeting ID required to join the call.

Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond equal to 5% of the total bid is required.  Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and 100% Payment Bonds will be required.  No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days.

Bid documents are being made available via paper or digital copy. Plan holders are required to log-on or register for an account at www.mbakerplanroom.com to view and order Bid Documents. All plan holders are required to have a valid email address for registration. Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the website. For anyone interested in submitting bids electronically in place of a sealed bid, they may do so only through www.mbakerplanroom.com. Each bid must be submitted in duplicate with bid security in accordance with the instructions to bidders which are found in the Project Manual. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids.

Each electronically submitted bid must be submitted in “pdf” format and shall contain the same information and forms as required for the paper bids. Note – electronic bids must be secured with a bid bond. In the event that an electronically submitted bid has a corrupted attachment, the bid will be considered null and void.

ALL BIDDERS must be properly licensed contractors at the time of award in accordance with the provisions of the State of Mississippi and must indicate their current Mississippi Certificate of Responsibility number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing their Bid, and on their Bid.

The JACKSON COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to reject any or all bids or to award or refrain from awarding the contract for the work, whichever is deemed to be in the Owner's best interests.
